Had my Oath Ceremony on August 29th. Now fully a Canadian. Thanks everyone!

Just got my oath letter yesterday to appear on the 29th of August for the ceremony.

Had my test on July 22 and passed (19/20) and the officer told my my application had been approved. Status in ECAS switched to 'Decision Made' today the July 24. Please update the tracker

Please update the tracker Got test invite on the 26th of June and the test is on the 22nd of July at Mississauga

I think it’s fine. I sent mine in around the the same time, and I haven’t gotten AOR. Looks similar for people who sent in around our time if you look at the sheet

Looks like I was wrong. You are correct about before C-24 I have gone to look up the act here in the archives http://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/C-29/20140801/P1TT3xt3.html and it states: So if they use the same logic for 3/5 then it has to be time within that 5 years

Here is my 2 cents. In the way it worked before c24 with was 3/4 with pre-PR credit, the credit was never limited to just the 4 years as that wouldn't really make sense because there would be no need to limit the credit to a year because the maximum you could get then would be a year anyway. So...

The bill isn't about us though. It is about the citizenship act for the foreseeable future. They won't rush it because some people are waiting for 3/5 today

Hold on. Wouldn't it make sense for Liberals to implement this before the next election so that they can get a few votes from grateful new citizens?
