    Post Citizenship Passport Question

I did not advise doing this, just commented on someone's post. Of course travelling with appropriate documents is the best way. But in a given situation, when someone was 'given a visa' while being a citizen, it just makes little sense. It is not the passport that crosses the border, it is the...

    Post Citizenship Passport Question

Well, regardless of what 'visa' the second person was given at the border, once in the US, s/he could scrap it because US citizens... well, just do not care. And forgetting the passport does not equal loss of citizenship, right?

Help defeat the Conservatives for Bill C-24 (Federal Elections - October 19th)

Right, then this just adds points against conservatives, because people saying 'There is no recession' when even officials admit it are either stupid or blind, and neither make a worthy prime minister.

    Montréal 2015 Citizenship application

Did you read section 12 of the guide: Note: You must be eligible to apply for Canadian citizenship the day before you sign the application form. Maybe they do not not enforce that strictly, but it is in the guide nonetheless.

I APPLIED WITH LESS THAN 1095 PHYSICAL DAYS…..anyone in the same boat? results?

Re: I APPLIED WITH LESS THAN 1095 PHYSICAL DAYS.....anyone in the same boat? results? bestfriendever, did you request your file to see where the miscalculation was? As much as I do not like CIC, if you agree with their calculation, it was your error. I applied with zero extra days and they did...

CIC whited out CSIS information on my ATIP report!!!

Do you see tiny letters and numbers at the right top corner of the page where information was severed? Most likely it is s.22(1)(b) or s.21. These are the articles of the Act which allow them to withhold some security information; check the Act to know what exactly it was - or could be - about.

    Refusal Ground: 1 (ATIP)

'Job requirements - Canadian citizenship' printout from the employer's website. That's all.

    Refusal Ground: 1 (ATIP)

Nothing is luck, it is all hard labour :) I applied for urgent processing, and for that one it was quite slow, I find.

    Refusal Ground: 1 (ATIP)

In my case it matches Triage Value in Triage section. In one of the requests this was not severed, so I was able to match the two. In my case it is a signature mismatch, which was resolved. If Article of the Act is whited out in your report, you will not be able to get on to it.

Citizenship Test and Interview tips 2015 !!

No, I did not sign a landscape paper, but all other papers I signed were white :) One is prohibitions and the other one is certification that all information in the application is true and that I will notify CIC of any changes.

Citizenship Test and Interview tips 2015 !!

Read the book and be ready for the type of questions asked on free websites is the best tip. Role of prime minister, name of the booklet, first female MP - these are the recent questions asked. Several true or false questions and not necessarily multiple choice. All in all, one must really try...

    E-cas says Decision Made

Are you flooding all topics? What did they tell you at the test? 2-4 months is the timeline for regular applicants, and since we do not work for CIC, we will not be able to tell you much more than that.

Got my wife's case ATIP, please help to interpret

So can you formulate your question in a more precise way? What DOES perplex you, if those categories are not on your report?

    April 2015 citizenship Applicants

I have realized the day before my test that I have missed one trip altogether, and while I was thinking about how to cover that up, the clerk already signed the papers. So it may happen they will not notice, and if it is one day difference it is a true human error and not an attempt to deceive...

    Montréal 2015 Citizenship application

First time - when I read the ATIP notes on 30 July, it was already there. And on Monday 3 August I actually received the letter. Ecas changed to 'decision made' on Saturday following the test.

Got my wife's case ATIP, please help to interpret

There would be between 10 to 40 pages, depending on the case and the processing stage, what exactly you do not understand? There will be your name, dates, various eligibility criteria and security checks, with their status. All this is easy and there is not much to understand. Do you have triage...
