    What's the point of Ecas?

I'm pretty sure ECAS was used before EE. So people could check on their status :)

    Help regarding Spouse

No. As long as she's of legal age to marry. Just ensure you have the proof that you aren't marrying for convenience.

    Help regarding Spouse

I have no idea actually. The CRS calculator would answer that though. I doubt it though, as the reason you score less as an individual being married is because your spouse should be able to make up those points (with CELPIP, ECA, work experience, etc.), and a Canadian spouse wouldn't add to them.

    Help regarding Spouse

A Canadian spouse won't give you any points. A Canadian obviously has Canadian Education, language, and work experience... You may get points for adaptability through the FSW program - I think it's minimal though. Possibly 5 points. If your girlfriend wants to marry you to keep you in the...

different wage on lmia and paystub

No problem! I really hope this all works out for you. Best of luck!

different wage on lmia and paystub

I'm not sure, someone with CEC experience would be a better judge for that. I didn't think pay stubs were necessary.

different wage on lmia and paystub

The reference letter would have your wage on it though, that's the problem, and they have access to the LMIA which they'll compare it too. It could cause problems for both you because of the 600 points and them for paying you less. I hope you don't end up in a bad spot because of it. I would...

different wage on lmia and paystub

I can't imagine he'll be held accountable in any way. However that being said, the employer definitely will be (they could actually be charged for this), and the LMIA could be taken away (thus losing the 600 points). They can't legally pay you less than what Canadians are being paid, and...

IEC applying for PR and Implied Status

Yes, I did. I talked to someone at CIC and they said that was the best option. Apparently not though!! Lol. I'm hopeful it will be soon. I applied May 1, so hopefully any day now!

IEC applying for PR and Implied Status

Yup, this was just in April this year. I'm back home now waiting "patiently" for PR. And yes, you are allowed to stay as a tourist for 6 months however, you have to satisfy the officer you will leave at the end of your visa and show you have significant ties to your home country and my interest...

IEC applying for PR and Implied Status

I would be careful with going to visitor status. Prepare yourself for the worst, and hope for the best! I tried that from an IEC visa, and because I had shown interest in PR (I had already received an ITA) they told me they weren't satisfied I'd leave Canada if for some reason PR didn't come...

IS CIC SERIOUS ABOUT MEETING IMMIGRATION TARGETS FOR 2015???!!!...

I actually can't believe that this was said, and I truly hope you were joking. If not, I don't think you deserve to be in Canada at all. That is a disgusting comment that holds absolutely no truth whatsoever.

If you had to fill out your age, it would be your current age and not the age you will be after your birthday. In this case though, CIC asks for your birthday and not your age, so once you fill in the month-day-year it will calculate your age and update it once your birthday passes as well...
