Decision Made - Waiting for Oath - GTA applicants

I finally got the oath invite too. My ecas shows a 5th line: "We sent you a notice on August 6th to appear and take the oath on August 18th" Still did not get the actual letter. Ecase does not specify where my oath ceremony would be. But the decision was made at Mississauga, so the office is...

Decision Made - Waiting for Oath - GTA applicants

I called CIC helpline yesterday. They said it could take up to six months since DM status to schedule an oath ceremony :o :o :o Also, there are at least two people in Scarborough topic who have been waiting for an oath since June and one person who's been waiting since July 6th. They did not...

    Contact CIC from outside Canada

You can call someone in Canada with multiple lines. They can dial CIC and put you through them. It worked for me in the past. Also, there is an application called Fongo. Download it, if you have a smart phone. It assigns a Canadian phone. You can use it with a wifi connection and reach CIC.

Decision Made - Waiting for Oath - GTA applicants

I read someone on this forum say that printing if the citizenship certificate and name verification could take time. These are the only to do items that could explain, aside from applications backlog, delay in scheduling us for oath. Anyone applied with a changed name?

Decision Made - Waiting for Oath - GTA applicants

longwaitwithrq, my local office is Mississauga now. I wish it was Scarborough... I also hope someone from Mississauga got scheduled for the Nathan Phillips square ceremony. No one in this forum has reported getting an invite for a ceremony there...or at Fort York for that matter.

Strange issue after test: the online information of permanent resident appears!

Any changes in the way your ECAS appears, like address, LOT line or PR info, could mean that your file was looked at. So it is a good news. There is movement in your application. In your case, it is most likely that an officer went in to update test taken part.

@ St Clair-RQ-Preliminary review completed, referred to level 2 decision maker

Re: @ St Clair-RQ-Preliminary review completed, referred to level 2 decision maker I called them. Perhaps try that. It is harder to forget a person that you spoke to than dismiss an email.

@ St Clair-RQ-Preliminary review completed, referred to level 2 decision maker

Re: @ St Clair-RQ-Preliminary review completed, referred to level 2 decision maker It took mine more than a month. Unlike vinaypuri's MP they also did not tell me I will hear back in 4-5 weeks. Clearly, vinaypuri's MP office is much more efficient.

Re: @ St Clair-RQ-Preliminary review completed, referred to level 2 decision maker Which office are you with? It could be worth your while to contact your MP. It is ridiculous to be waiting for over two months to get scheduled for an oath...

Re: @ St Clair-RQ-Preliminary review completed, referred to level 2 decision maker My MP informed me that as of July 7th 2015 my file, which is at Mississauga now, is in que to be scheduled for an oath. I think there is a backlog of oath-ready files at Mississauga. I haven't read of a...

    Immigration judge

My ATIP says that I was 15 days short of the required physical presence of 1195 days. So, a judge had to review my file. No hearing was required. At the end a positive decision was granted. The strange thing is that I don't think CIC calculated my days properly. I had 39 days of absence. Most...

Wait time from "Decision Made" to Oath Notice

If there are about to expire, they should be updated before the decision is made. For some applicants like myself application takes longer, so FOSS clearance (valid for a year) expires in the meantime. I am not sure how long is CSIS clearance valid for.
