Just picked up my COPR from the post office. The slip was dated December 31st but they didn't put it in my mail box till today. Thank You to everyone who helped me during the process! It's a 10 hour drive to the boarder for me so I am hoping to get an appointment in Edmonton.

When I received a request from SXB mine said SXB2 ... HMMM I wonder what the number means. Maybe they number each file they are looking at or something.

On my ECAS sponsor approval doesn't even say decision made and we got accepted early september lol It seems that they are very slow to update anything on ECAS. So it might be that they never up date it to say they have received your new results. I would just email them to confirm that they have...

I suppose it might not be initials. Just a code they give each officer so they can be identified. SXB, AXB, JHL and other 'immigration officer initials' that I have seen are all airport codes. They are for various parts of europe and canada though so I think it's just a coincidence. You said...

I know! I applied July 3rd so I was hoping to get DM before Christmas. However, I have SXB as my officer so I will likely be waiting till long after June, July and August have all gone green. Praying for a Christmas miracle! I really need to get back to work.

Hopefully you don't have SXB working on your file. They are working on mine and they worked on Andrew and Taffy's as well as many of the others who have been waiting over a year. Then I see other officers accepting applications from August. This SXB person has showed themselves to be super slow...

I sort of wish I hadn't asked that question now. Crossing my fingers that someone who has been approved with a time line of a year or under posts that they had SXB. How can one officer get away with being that slow when others are getting through applications in 4 months?! Update : I did a...

I'm really hopeing that they don't request that I do a new medical. It costs nearly $700 here in Fort Mac. Yuck. Spent so much money on this application already, plus not being able to work. Fingers Crossed. You probably spent a large amount having to re do two medicals so I feel the pain.

Maybe SXB is just the medical officer? Who knows.

Oh dear, If we share the same immigration officer then I might be looking at a long wait. If that's even what the letters mean. I'd be interested to know if all of the recent early approvals. August, June, May are the same officer or same couple of officers.

Does anyone have SXB working on their application? This was in the headline on my request for medical info. I assume it's a way for the information to link back to the officer working on my file?

Just count it as an early christmas blessing! =) No one really knows why some applications have suddenly sped up. It's more than likely to do with the new immigration minister and them wanting to look good (Bring the average down by completing some newer apps) It could be a coincidence but this...
