Hey guys, as I understand, OCI applications sent by Purolator (post) do not need original documents enclosed. But does this apply to the Surrender Certificate, too? And for Indian Passport, would I need to make photocopies of all pages with stamps, or is it just the first and last page? Thanks!

Spoke with the BLS office in Brampton today and they confirmed they are still accepting and processing OCI and Passport Surrender applications. I hope the current situation does not delay the processing times though.

Is it mandatory to send in my Canadian passport while surrendering my Indian passport? I see in the checklist that it says I am required to but I have travel plans in the next couple of weeks and I don't want to be in a position where I do not have my Canadian passport.

Yes, that has been my assumption, too. However, since my wife's and my application have both been updated to indicate everything is complete except Oath Ceremony, I am a little concerned why my daughter's application still says only Prohibitions is complete.

Wife’s application is in the same boat. Her Indian passport does not have a Surname and we were advised to leave the Given Name field blank back in 2016 when we applied for PR. Now, the renewal application tool mandates both Family Name and Given Name. Not sure how to go about this.
