Guys, for those of you who did the landing recently: have they the immigration kept your work permits? I'm organizing my documents and realized that I don't have the work permits with me. I think they've kept it - which would make sense - but wanted to check if that's the case.

That's super lucky... I got there 1 hour before they opened, had to wait the hour until opening hours and then half an hour to do the whole thing.

But be ready for a long wait :(. RAMQ is usually very busy.

I'm not sure, cohenbrother. They mentioned they have to have a way to proof you live in Quebec, but I guess you're not the only person without a rent, so they probably have an alternative for you.

This part was confusing for them to sort. I've got the first RAMQ card with a post-grad work permit. That was enough for the card to be approved. This year since it was an extension, they I had to be working full time and they asked me for a letter from the employer. Not sure if lease or rent...
