FSW Outland - Let's connect here

In 2015 when Express Entry was still new, we passed medical 7-10 days after AOR (on average). Then about 3 months later our Background checks would go to "in progress", and then about a month later PPR! I see the average duration from AOR to PPR is still 4-5 months, but the mechanics of the...

FSW Outland - Let's connect here

good luck! In 2015, we used to get "background status = started" 1-4 weeks before the actual PPR. Not sure if that's still the case. If so, your background check should start real soon!

FSW Outland - Let's connect here

Hey Outland community. Have a question on behalf of a friend. What's the average processing time now for outlanders? In 2015, it was 4-5 months from AOR to PPR. Is it still the same? Now that the draws are much more aggressive, is the processing time impacted positively or negatively? On the one...

US IRA/401k as proof of funds?

They accepted it.. but then again my net worth before 401(k) was already passing the minimum, I can't tell you for sure if it was taken into account or not. What I can tell you for sure is that they never asked for additional documents or anything. My 2 cents: I think your 401k should be...

400 is the new 450! Good news!

I'm curious to understand how admitting so many cooks and admin clerks would turn away doctors and software engineers? Also what's the direction that Australia and UK are taking? Please explain

400 is the new 450! Good news!

I too am very happy for them, but i do share your concern. Canada's economy isn't like that of the States where jobs are created by the hundreds of thousands each month. There's some likelihood that a portion of new immigrants (possibly 20-30%) will struggle for a year or two before they find a...

400 is the new 450! Good news!

Happy for you :)... Glad you didn't lose too many points on your birthday(s)... I'm sure there are hundreds others in your same situation! Good luck with the rest of your application!

400 is the new 450! Good news!

We, the group of AOR August 2015 (oldies) are very happy for the new pool of immigrants! In 2015 and 2016 the scores never went below 450 and there were hundreds (if not thousands) of broken hearts. I'm sincerely happy for many of those who were stuck and now got an invitation. I feel, and i...

FSW Outland - Let's connect here

For new and prospective FSW Outland applicants, would you please provide your two cents on how the new CRS system will affect you? Is it more favorable now to outlanders, or less favorable? Thanks in advance

FSW Outland - Let's connect here

Based on current observations, you should expect BG to go to in progress between 20 & 30 june... PPR 1-3 weeks later. Hopefully you'll get it earlier than this, you never know. Good luck

FSW Outland - Let's connect here

From what I noticed, most Outland applicants based in USA wait for 20-30 days after their BG goes to in progress, to get PPR email.... however outland applicants outside of the US (especially India) usually takes them 1-5 days to get PPR after their BG goes to in progress... It's either a US...

Egyptian Citizens inland and outland, let's Connect here

I beg to differ :) I spent most of my summers in Toronto, growing up.. August - September are quite humid and warm... with humidity, it'll usually feel like 25-28 C during the day, and 15-19 C in the evening/night. It's more like April/May in Egypt Do note that it does rain quite often...

FSW Outland - Let's connect here

I remember when most Augusters started getting their PPR's, it started first with inlanders and US applicants... then about 10-14 days later, it 'rained hard' on FSW outlanders.. so yeah hopefully you guys are next!

FSW Outland - Let's connect here

Hang in guys... The bulk of January AOR's should expect their PPR's by end of May, early June.. From observation and personal experience 80% of applicants get their PPR 4.5-5.5 months after AOR. Special shout out to yelena and sharma1990 whose AOR's are in February and are still waiting. Good...
