Hi, I need a quick response for a buddy of mine if possible, he is applying under CEC and had 890 points, CIC have requested a charracter reference from Germany as he was there on business years ago for three years, even though on the CIC website it states you need to be living in that country...

Hi Kaydenb, Yes it is a common thing for CIC to request, I had the same thing for my mrs at the start of July, then a week later I had a request for all of my passport pages to be copied and scanned and returned to CIC, as soon as they went of, a week later my PR was issued, that was Monday last...

Hi, can I just throw something out there? This so called 'Second AOR' is bullshit, it's made up, I don't know by who or why but it is, I have just got my decision changed to passed and my letter is on the way back to me as we speak, I have never had a second AOR or any of my buddies that are...

So my solicitor sent me a screen shot of MyCIC account, it says decision passed so that's that, just waiting for CIC to send me the letter now to confirm it! ;D

Use your lawyers address pal, just in case, I'm in the same boat, didn't want to put mine down as CIC make a big fuss about updating addresses and delays!

Hi, so I checked as well, I only have mailing address, that's it, and my status on ECAS has no moved to decision made, I know CIC received the passport copies and bio data yesterday at 1130 so maybe it's done.

Hi peeps! just thought I would share. I started a thread for people who got their AOR in April and applied from inside Canada, well I received my PPR and Bio Data request today, so CIC are definitely sorting out with Aprils AOR's fellas!!! :o :o :o :o

Thanks people for your kind words, I started this thread so people in the same boat could exchange information and hopefully find some comfort in the fact that they are not alone out there. I hope it helped, it did for me for sure. Ill keep people updated as hopefully my PR comes through!! ;D...

I don't think I do need a visa as im from England so its part of the great Commonwealth!! maybe ill hear from CIC next week?? :P

Hi guys, just an update in my case, so my solicitor emailed me today saying that CIC emailed them asking for a copy of all of the paged in mine and my wife's passport, bio data and 2 x photos of us each? Don't exactly know what that means but at least its moving!! 8) :P 8) :P
