My passport was not valid for 18 months from when I applied and I had no issues. I didnt even know this rule existed. If she is Brazilian she is likely to get her visa within 6 months anyway which means she will have almost a year till her passport expires. Maybe wait for other peoples opinions...

I remember Acecube got his Passport request shortly after resending his medicals. It was less than a month later as far as I remember

Hi Zimgirl, welcome to the forum, well mine isn't actually DM yet on ecas. But I got my passport request on the 18th of January via email. Apparently ecas doesn't always update on time

I'm not sure about the process for you. For a family application you are sent a second AOR once the application arrives in Pretoria. I would assume the process would be similar for your application. Maybe someone else on the forum can assist?

Hi MissSA, yeah I hope its just a delay because of the holidays. I guess I got excited when I saw yourself and Zaara getting your visas so quickly, but I guess compared to others I'm not really even late yet. I'll stay positive then. :)

Still no news from my side unfortunately. I was just wondering MissSA and Zaara if you know what date Pretoria actually started looking at your application. Mine was 13 November based on GCMS notes that I received. Do either of you know. Thanks for the help guys. Hoping to see something positive...

The reason I believe that is when security started is because that is the date my latest GCMS notes are dated and it shows security updates with s.15(1) in the right hand corner. It may have even started earlier that means. All the security details are hidden and it says I'm under security...
