question about "intent to reside" in c-24

This topic has strayed far from my original question which was about who this section of the law actually pertains to. For those interested in the answer, I'm re-posting dpenabill's excellent, clear and concise response from earlier in the thread: "The intent to reside provision has NO...

question about "intent to reside" in c-24

^labeamer, I would guess that this is something that would likely be a possibility as the result of this section of the new law. My original question was about WHO things like this would be applicable to. I think dpenabill indicated that such application of the law (however valid or nefarious)...

So, depenabill, to be clear, in your estimation, is it correct that, if someone takes the oath and receives citizenship BEFORE the so-called "intent to reside" provision comes in to force, that provision cannot be applied to them regarding the time they were a PR and their application was in...

I have my test at the Mississauga office in two days. I do not have my original birth certificate. I was born in the USA. I DO have originals of many other documents (all passports I've ever had, PR Card, OHIP, DL, USA Social security card, 10 years of CRA Notice of Assessment, etc. I am not...

Good point! I actually was able to find my old OHIP card...a few holes punched in it to void it when they send the new one (I think the Ministry does that...maybe Service Ontario?). Any any case, should I bring that along or no? Thanks again for all the help and advice folks.

Lacking photo id originally used for application, exam/interview in two weeks

If anyone would be willing to answer I'd sincerely appreciate it...I'm pretty worried...I know that even if my application is closed, I still have PR and I'm so grateful for that, but...I just feel stupid that this small mistake might result in me not getting citizenship. I know you all can relate.
