I don't think that's a disadvantage.....my sis is also a PR but thankfully I dint have any issue with my visa and I know few other ppl who got visas having their sibling already in Canada as a PR It's just case to case.....u got to show strong ties to ur home country

I applied paper based in Abu Dhabi....now there is a VFS office in Dubai too wasn't opened when I had applied so had to go all the way

It depends on the universities how late they can accept....I m sure it wont be more than a week late than start of semester because if you miss a lot then there is no point...you wld rather defer the semester I am flying through Emirates....its quite expensive 1 way....approx. 4500 to 5k

I have been to Canada many times but never had anyone inspect my luggage....however I just thought when going on a Study permit it might be different that's y wanted to know

its all my personal belongings...nothing else but I want to know if they do inspect or not

Hi Guys, Have a question....for all those who landed in Canada on a study permit...do the officers inspect your luggage? I will be flying in the first week of August (Inshallah) and want to know if there is any inspection of luggage or they just believe whatever you declare on the declaration form

timeline is 8 weeks...I got mine in 9 weeks

You might get acceptance in the program but you don't have much time for the visa, I think you r too late to apply
