    Our daughter was born and is healthy. We are now waiting for the birth certificate which takes 4-6 weeks. Should we wait to send the actual birth certificate to CIC or send the discharge papers from the hospital now?

    Hi, Does anyone know how to report the birth of a child in Canada? We applied for inland in Nov 2014 and attached a pregnancy confirmation note from our doctor. Should we mail a copy of the birth certificate? Or is there a fax/email option? Thanks!

    Thanks for your response! My understanding is that they will only start working on it close to the 17 months mark which is the processing time for the AIP, yet I see other people on the forum who have a number starting with F early on.

    Thanks. So which outland applications are processed in Ottawa? I got the impression that if you currently live in the US or Canada you can be processed outland in Ottawa. Are you saying this is not the case?
