Hey Rainbow, I only linked my paper app to the online account recently but I've been going to see the MP about my file for a long time now and they've been saying they are doing background checks since September 2015!

I'm surprised they asked you for that, thought they looked at the sponsor's employement history and stuff before the app goes to Sri Lanka. And yea every time I ask my MP to inquire about my file they say the same thing. Recently though they said security was done and they moved on to criminality ..
