For those who are done with the whole process, or to anyone who might know..... how long does it usually take to go from background check in progress to PPR??

Checked myCic today, it says that the "background check" is now "in progress"... don't know what this means for our timeline, but at least it is a change.

Any news from Dakar anyone?? Forum seems pretty quiet. I was reading other forums, and many people who applied in January and February have received PPR within the past few days. Still trying to remain optimistic even though it can be really tough!

Same thing happened to me, but it is just confirming that the sponsor has been approved. Judging by the timeline of other applicants, Deffy2016 I think ours should be coming soon since we have almost identical timelines!

Also, would you mind posting your timeline so we can see how long each step took?? :)

I believe a month or less! At least that is what I have been seeing on many peoples timelines. Congratulations that was so fast I'm so happy for you! Let us know of any updates!

Update: Dakar is no longer backlogged. Processing times for the whole process are roughly between 8-10 months.

It looks like most people who have applied within the past year have been receiving approval within 8-10 months. The dakar office is not longer backlogged so they are able to process things faster.
