After rescheduling ceremony because of being out of country we got new date and ceremony done Tue this week and it went all smooth. Status on tracker is Your citizenship application status: Closed Reason: We have approved your application to become a Canadian citizen. Congratulations!

This is interesting, sorry for late reply but what happened to me was...I sent email that we are out of country until certain date, few days later reply came saying thank for letting us know and we'll contact you for new date. Same week after we got back email came with new date and we did...

Did you guys reschedule it? if so how long did it take for them to reply? Literally similar situation but leaving on on Sat and ceremony is in 10 days so will have to move it..wondering how soon they reschedule it

Unfortunately they dont care about it, you have to take care about your status.. You have to apply for new work permit and visitor in same time, then you'll be on implied status from aprox 100 days(you can working during that time) till you got an answer from cic

Once you get nomination you can go on the border with bcpnp support letter and they'll give you new wp

I heard from one source that semi skilled is processing faster then skilled, dont know why..but as I noticed two of my friends semi skilled jan and march 2015 already got nominations in dec and jan Hopefully it will be our turn soon as possible...because it's taking too long... :-\ :-\

Yes you can, you'll be in implied status, wp processing time is around 100 days and visitor is more. So you'll get rejection for wp because you dont have lmia and then you'll just wait for visitor. The only thing is that I'm not sure did you have to do it in same time....
