Based on the several feedback I have read, I think generally oath date depends on the application date (around one year or less from the date of application); can not relate to the date of test. Looks like some are called within 3 months of the application date for test and then after 3 to 4...

Nothing can be done even if the application is 12+ months old! They simply state "in due course you will be invited for the oath ceremony".

When the MP's office calls, the call centre person ends the conversation by saying "hopefully there will be more updates in one month time". MP's office is reluctant to call if the application is less than one year. However they do accommodate if it is 10+ months old. Trust this clarifies.

I did use the services of MP's office. They can get the phone line a little faster. They can ask all questions without upsetting the agent who takes the call. And they will call you to update status. However they can not escalate, will call one once a month and most of the time they sympathize...

Suggest to visit Scarborough Town centre with your Interview invitation letter and try to meet the officer who interviewed you and ask for update. Hopefully they can trace the file and update the status. I am also planning to do it if the Oath letter does not come soon. My online status shows...

First of all hearty congrats to you. I hope mine also comes soon... But my luck with CIC has been always disappointing! PR Card renewal took 11= months when everyone else got it done in 4 to 8 months! Now for citizenship my application has completed 1 year and 22 days! Anyway looking positive....

Just a question: Is there any standard that Scarborough office sends e-mail invitation for oath and Mississauga office sends Canada post mail invitation? Also how many days before the ceremony they send the e-Mail / Postal mail? Or is it at their will? Kindly advise if anyone has the answer...
