When I was going through this I didn't want to guess and went and saw a professional immigration consultant. For $150 they will lay it all out to you: do the calculations, tell you your odds, how to improve them, so I'd say just do that. There's a will, there's a way.

Can you do anything to bump up your score somehow? Work a year or two maybe? Also depends on what you're doing in Canada - working or studying. Are you sure this is the right time to apply?
