    US outland applicants' thread :)

This is not typical. You can expect an interview request. I hope I am wrong as that is inconvenient. All the best.

CrossPosted: Can I claim my sponsored spouse on my 2016 taxes?

Quick background: Common law partner moved to Canada aug 2016 from US. Applied for PR Aug 2016. Was granted PR & landed Feb 2017. Am I able to claim him on my 2016 income tax? He was not an official PR, did not work, nor did he have income. Is he able to be claimed as a dependant? Thank you.

leave canada while applying for permanent resident

Did you apply inland? I'm not too sure of the rules surrounding that but if you appliednoutlandnit would not be Annie. We travelled quite extensively while my partner applied Outland. Yes it caused a boynif gried but he was never denied at any point.

    Child Care Subsidy

Your question is how to appeal the decision that you do not qualify for subsidy? If so, could NRA talk them and indicate that you are a single parent. Unless your income in the last 3?momghs was significantly larger that's what I would do here in Alberta. Maybe be diff province to Province.

Absolutely and as much info showing that he is self employed will work too. Also any previous option Cs from previous years are helpful. Good luck.

Application to sponsor - Sponsor Eligibility question 3

Who are you sponsoring? Legal spouse or common-law? Does not matter whether you apply inland or Outland. It's basically asking who you are sponsoring and how you're connected.
