I got my COPR today and both Last Entry Date and Original Entry Dates seem to be incorrect. Should I send a request for amendment right away? Does anyone have any experience with this? The CIC website says the processing time for amendments is 6 months :o

The CIC website is pretty specific that you can only cross border with CoPR (if you don't have your PR card yet) if you cross in a private vehicle.

The return tracking is the tracking number for the canada post return envelope you included when you sent your passport. If you enter this tracking number in the canadapost website you can see whether or not it's been activated which indicates the return envelope is on its way.

I have raised this question in other threads before with no luck, but does anyone know what a "canceled" backgound check means? My GCMS notes show that my initial background check was canceled after around 8-9 months and a new background check was requested. I am now a week into the 16th month...

The dates for initiation and status changes of bg check sub-activities are there in the notes.

Yes my medical was extended a week after the 12 months anniversary.

For all of those who follow this thread, I will hit the 15 months mark and enter the 16th month of waiting tomorrow. Based on the notes and my many followups with the CIC it seems like they somehow failed to start my background check until almost 11 months after I submitted my application.

Sorry for some reason I can't access the part of the CIC website that lists the processing times. Is this 27 biz days or calendar days?

I applied for BOWP on June 12th and I haven't heard anything back yet. MyCIC says it's still being processed and a decision hasn't been made.

After 13.5 months, I spoke to the CIC call center agent today and she told me my BG check is still in progress. She told me I will likely hear back the results in the second half of July though. Does anyone know whether agents' estimates are accurate or do they even have access to the timelines...

If you have applied for an extension and haven't gotten the result yet, you will have "implied status" until you get the results, meaning you can continue your status (worker, student, visitor) until there's a result. You may lose your "implied status" if you travel out of Canada in that period...
