hey, the reason why i sent it by mail was because i would benefit from the implied status...because a decision has not been made in your case, you can continue working under the conditions of your old work permit :)

Thank you! no, never received passport request as i am from a passport exempt country :) i live in gatineau, which is literally 20 minutes from Ottawa...I think it explains why I received it so quickly. if you're in montreal you should receive it tomorrow or monday!!

Yes, the AOR is the email saying that immigration canada has received your file and that confirms your application for permanent residency...not that you've been approved...just that they've started working on your file. im not sure that you can apply to an open work permit if you don't have an...
