Yes you need a permanent contract. I must be written in your contract, otherwise they will reject your application when they will check your documents. I got rejected after 5months the first time I applied due to this.

If you study everyday, living in France, speaking only in French all day, maybe. Otherwise, thinking you can learn French for the TEF in 8months is very delusional. It's a quite difficult test.

So they actually answer to my email today, and what they said was that the 6 months validity of my passeport doesn't apply to me since I am already living in Canada. It's for people from outside. And that I could send my actual passeport now to them :)
