    We landed on 10 September, after a few phone calls to the CIC and being told the cards were being printed, we got a letter in the first week of December requesting we resubmit photos as the specifications changed! Needless to say we are still waiting, so I know your frustration.

    Ours took about 2 months! Much much quicker than we were expecting ;D We didn't send a police check, only the authority for the CIC to request one from NZ Police.

    sending items before we go

    Has anyone sent household items before them? We are thinking of sending a couple of boxes before we fly to Canada, however our stuff will probably make it before we do. How do we get this treated as the items that are accompanying us so they are duty free?

    Sponsor doesn't currently live in Canada

    We live in NZ and ours didn't take 'too much longer' than others who submitted around the same date (even though it felt like an eternity!)
