Hey Folks, The long weekend bought some happy news for me. My wife's Work Permit got approved today and i got a email from myCIC about it. It took around 65 days in total. I am expecting it will be delivered this week.

I did not receive the instructions or the upload button. I was advised by CIC(phone support folks) to submit the documents via IRCC form and also submit a different IRCC request to fix the glitch that prevented the correspondence from coming through myCIC account.

That's a tricky situation. I would say you should confirm with CIC. I dont mean to scare you but was there a particular reason you submitted the Open Work permit application at this point of time. Since, after your studies you would be eligible for a PGWP which is also an Open work permit.

Post Grad work permit is an open work permit and hence is not tied to a specific employer or field. So, you should be good in that regards.

I just checked my ECAS and seems they have sent me a correspondence requesting some documents. I havent received the mail yet but i am very curious to see what they have requested. It might be police checks and Schedule A.
