And while I'm here... My spouse's passport was sent to VO Mexico last week per PPR (YAY!). Should I expect confirmation of receipt of passport from VO Mexico via email/phone? Did anyone else get confirmation of receipt from VO Mexico? So far nothing. And nothing updated on e-Cas either. Thx

I don't foresee any issues on the one-way ticket out (Air Canada Rouge?)... just don't forget about your exit/departure tax though. I'm pretty sure the Ministry has not blended it into the ticket prices yet ;)

Well not to rain on the sunshine parade... but sponsoring my spouse through VO Mexico City has been a complete nightmare >:( It will be 1 YEAR (this April) that we've been going back and forth on what should have been a slam dunk residency application. In fact, my GCMS notes show that my...

Do not rely on ECAS for updates from this Visa Office. My spouse's upfront medical exam was submitted (along with all other required documentation: backgrounds checks, paid right or PR, et cetera) and has remained 'in process' since June 20, 2014. The upfront medical exam (valid for 1 year)...

You went to a panel physician in Mexico. They sent in your medical exam results. They should have given you a receipt (with your spouse's photo on it). Go back to the doctor and get a receipt.

Well, in theory, I suppose my spouse could just go back to the panel physician where the upfront medical exam was done. But without direction from VO Mexico... what additional tests should the doctor do? More x-rays? Another round of blood screening? Don't want to waste time/money putting...

    APRIL 2014 OUTLAND APPLICANTS

Yes, discouraged is perhaps too mild of a term. In this thread, as well as the May 2014 Outland and Mexico threads -basically almost everyone else on the same timeline as me- have their spouses in Canada already :'( Applied CPC-Mississauga April 2014. Received Sponsor Approval May 2014...

GAH! Ok... I've ordered GCMS. However, I understood that the 2 month wait for SA (from CIC-Mississauga) was NOT included in the posted 17 month timeline at VO Mexico???

Ok. I've emailed them - no response. And will try calling (although they say not to unless strictly necessary or prior to the full 17 month estimated processing time?)

Cause for Concern? I am the Canadian sponsor of my Nicaraguan wife. I received sponsorship approval from CPC-Mississagua May 2014 and confirmation that the CIC Visa Office in Mexico is where the application would be headed next. ECAS states that my wife's application has been 'in progress'...
