August 5, applicant. DM on April 14, waiting for PPR. Last month also people had to wait for few days.

Welcome to the DM / PPR club. Next step is to wait for DM / PPR, unless the visa officer need some additional information, which is rare.

Re: VISA stamp says only one entry Permanent Resident doesn't require visa to enter, the same can be done either through PR card or Travel Document.

To apply for GCMS/CAIPS yourself on https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do where CIC charges $5/-. You can request directly only if you are a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or a person physically present in Canada. There are many service providers, who can order GCMS/CAIPS notes...
