bill c-6 - when is going to be approved?

Agree with keesio and screech339. This Bill most likely will be pushed back in the Commons for amendments in the autumn-winter session. Unfortunately this also will create more delays.

The current status of Bill C-6 is only at the concurrence of the report stage http://www.parl.gc.ca/LEGISInfo/BillDetails.aspx?Language=E&Mode=1&billId=8117654 It was clear from the very beginning that the Senate stage will be the most difficult stage because of the conservative dominance at...

citizenship denied and application for leave dismissed

It was a big mess under the Old rules because the SJ could verdict absolutely similar applications in a totally different way. Somebody in your situation will be granted and some will be denied. I know it sounds absurd but this is how the system worked under the old rules.

citizenship denied and application for leave dismissed

Did you apply under the old rules (Before June 11 last year)?

I am sure that only the PGP people a causing multiple times bigger damage for Canada compared to CoC.

    citizenship by convenience

The scope and the harm from CoC is miniscule compared to all that massive burden who actually lives here. This is my point. I also represent that burden by working at the low end, many hundreds of thousants are living here causing BILIONS of damage for the budget each and every year. Focusing...

And while these PGP are waiting they are getting older and older so the chances for them to end up directly on the health care system is very good. The whole immigration system is soooo problematic and in general only hurts Canada.

Yes I keep on bringing it because this is burden for Canada WAY BIGGER compared to CoC. We are talking about BILIONS of dollars burden for Canada each and every year. And we expect another massive flush of new heads on a constant basis. I am really feeling sorry for the Canadian budget.

There is a temporary agreement that the kid should take care for supporting the sponsored ones at the beginning, but once that agreement expires the PGP can abuse the health care as much as they want. Supporting a refugee is also a huge overall burden for Canada

What about focusing on the main problem that Canada has expenses measured in many BILIONS to all those who are living here and not being able to pay their bills. How much BILIONS cost the immigrants living here? You mentioned the number few weeks back. So imagine what will happen if Canada...

That opportunity is long time gone already. It was my agreement to accept the lower level here compared to my credentials. I was overqualified for that position here, the lack of Canadian experience and being a PR forced me to by in such position. And when finally a realistic opportunity showed...

People in my situation (low end employed) are also burden for the health system. We just cant pay the taxes because we are poor. Do you know how many hundreds of thousand people are in my situation living in Canada? Now multiply that burden and see that exactly those living here are the biggest...

    citizenship by convenience

Aren't all those who live here and don't pay enough taxes to pay for what they get here cost much more for the health care? Sponsored parents and grand parents cost way more. Why you don't complain about them when they come here to use severely the health care and never pay a dime for it. You...

    citizenship by convenience

You still keep on ignoring the fact that in Canada lives a huge volume of burden who doesn't pay enough of taxes but at the same time they use much more. I think you were the one who posted how much billions the immigrants actually cost. This is way bigger burden for Canada and the more they...

What if a person want to renounce his citizenship but suddenly in the last moment he changes his intention? Which intention should we consider the old one or the new one? Can that person be considered as a temporary CoC? I am starting to see that this is a very serious matter here all that...

MP Tilson also mentioned that even if this are the intentions in the head of a person , this is his/her right to do it. So why the people should not use their rights?
