Travel to US after oath **

My suggestion to you is this: talk to your ceremony's clerk right after the ceremony. I believe he/she is the one entering the info about new Candadians into the system. Talk to him/her and have them enter your info that very day (on Wednesday). Make yourself some sort of a priority, explain...

    Oath ceremony-Ottawa

There seems to be a "special ceremony" on Dec. 9. Maybe that's the one they wanted to invite you to. I say "Special" because it is the only one on that week and it is also the only one at Rideau Hall on Sussex Drive... Just keep calling them and the call center as well

Do not jump to conclusions so fast. It might well just be that the person that called you had forgotten to update their voicemail greeting message after they came back from vacation in September. Seriously, who knows your personal info to the extent that they would know that you are currently...

No, you misunderstood. I said 10+ for the whole week; which comes down to 2 or 3 ceremonies per day for some days. Sometimes they do 3 ceremomies on Monday, 3 on Tuesday, 2 on Wednesday, 1 on Thursday, 2 on Friday. Or any other scheduling around that model. I have observed it in the past few...

    Oath ceremony-Ottawa

What you see on the website is not accurate. There a many ceremonies in Ottawa on the week of Nov 23. You can actually see from previous posts here that some Ottawa applicants have oath on Nov 24, Nov 26, etc. And those are not listed yet on the website. Maybe it will only be visible on the...

    Request for oath letter info

Plus you'll probably notice that your letter is dated Nov 12, but was physically sent the day before or 2 days before you see it in your mailbox. Pay attention to the square red postal stamp on your brown envelope. This happened to me. My letter was actually physically sent one week after the...

    Oath ceremony-Ottawa

To re-enter you will need the passport. From my experience I found Ottawa passport office very fast. I applied in person for Regular Processing (I marked travel date as "Unknown" in the application). They said it will take 10 business days, and then exactly one week later I received the passport...

    Oath ceremony-Ottawa

Ottawa does not have a judge of their own. A judge comes in on the 3rd week of every month and holds multiple ceremonies. So expect to see many ceremonies (one, two or may 3 per day) on the week of Nov 23. If you don't have oath on that week, then next oaths are going to be held on the 3rd week...

    Oath ceremony-Ottawa

It is not just a theory. I was told that at my post-test interview. I was told that the judge comes once a month on the 3rd week. That means if you missed the October ceremonies, you'll probably be taking oath on the week of Nov. 16th. But keep checking your mailbox as anything can happen/change...

Best tips on how to prepare for the Citizenship test

I agree. I will add the following. I was over-prepared for the test and got 20/20 in about 5 mins. Maybe didn't need that level of preparation, but better be over-prepared than under-prepared. How did I get over-prepared ? I ordered the physical book and read it 5 times in total. The first 2...

    December 2014 citizenship applicants!

Thanks my fellow late February AOR recipient ! :D Whenever something happened with your file it also happened to mine a few days or weeks later. Therefore I am sure you'll receive your oath letter within 1 month now. Do you see "Decision Made" on your ecas at least now ? Thanks ! :D We...

    Oath ceremony-Ottawa

The eCAS got updated 2 days ago with oath date. Taking oath tomorrow ! All: Ottawa office does not have a judge of their own. The judge comes in every 3rd week of the month. That's why all oath dates from Ottawa seem to always pour in in the 3rd week of every month (except for that surprising...

When was it actually sent ? You can find that out by looking at the date on the postal red stamp on the envelope.

No you do not have to pay. ATIP is free. Unless you are requesting some "fancy" one... I did ordered and got my ATIP a few months ago and it was completely free.
