our form was received at cic on 17 dec..till date our dd has not been encashed..today we called cic to check the status and he replied that our form has been returned on jan 27..Dont know the reason why it has been returned..greatly disappointed..

Hi Thanks for all your feedback.. it was very helpful to get answers for so many doubts. I sent my application on 12 Dec 14 and it was received on 17 Dec 14. I had sent a DD and i checked with the bank on 12 Feb 15 and the DD has not been encashed yet. Hope to hear news soon.
