I mean those not opened ones. CIC will enclose a letter in your package, basically saying rejected because of 5000 cap reached. Yours was not in this kind return.

Last year someone got accepted by submitting online printouts. That made me regretting for weeks because I didn't know it and option C caused me 2 days late for the last cap. But not sure if CIC is more strict on that this year.

Your application was accepted as a complete package implies supporting documents submitted are acceptable. They won't reject it for that reason.

The article says they settled in 2012 and they are still under visitor visa. I have doubts on the editor. How the "settlement" is defined? I think their PGP application is still in progress.

Yeah, once sponsorship is approved, CIC asks the parents to submit medical report. Any applicants with serious disease (like kidney/lung disease) will be denied COPR.

The news title is misleading. Their visitor visa were rejected by the health condition. Anyway, the health condition is one of selection criteria for visitor, permanent or other visa grant.

You are right. 20,000 admission is scheduled on annual levels for 2014 year and after. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/backgrounders/2013/2013-10-29a.asp By end of 2015, the backlog is reduced to 40,000. It will take another two years to clear the backlog. That is, 20,000...

    Sponsoring Parents in 2015

By end of 2013, the backlog is 80,000. PGP admission is 45,000 in 2014. By end of 2014, the backlog is reduced to 35,000. If admission is also 45,000 in 2015, it means CIC will start sponsorship assessment for 2014&2015 applicants around 2016 winter. So for those who may miss the cap this year...

Check with your bank to see if any unauthorized tx were from CIC. If yes, what was the rejection reason? Ask the bank to reactivate your credit card without issuing a new one.

That's ok, Randebutler. Last year I was late by two days because of delayed documents. ( I blamed myself for weeks) You can try next year even you don't get it this year.

The payment processing will continue for the next two weeks. It will prove what I said when the 5th applications report the CC charges. (For those delivered on Jan 5th 8:14am or earlier, successfully locked positions in the cap too.)

All packages were originally put in order. But the total didn't exceed by the time CIC closed the door. So all first day applications just simply marked Jan 2nd received. The countdown also marked.

Believe it or not, CIC didn't sort out the order for first day packages because the total didn't exceed 5000 on that day.
