I had a one year working-holiday visa when I applied for the LCP.

My PR application got rejected yesterday. Anyone has any advice? I'm in Toronto. I've already contacted some Immigration Lawyers and I'm just waiting to hear back. I had submitted my application back in April 2015.

I don't speak Filipino. The reason was the following: Anyone knows a good Immigration Lawyer in Toronto? One that's on the cheap side?

Well, I guess I was worrying for nothing! I just got my OWP! Received by CIC: April 27th AOR: June 23th OWP received: July 28th Yay! Good luck to everyone else! :)

Wow they took a while to even send your the AOR. Must have been nerve racking, but it's great to hear you finally received it! Congrats! 4 months timeline then I guess... that's what they said on the phone, we missed out on the 3 months timeline they had earlier in the year.

Old rule. They received my application April 27th.

I agreed, it seems like they slowed down. Took them 2 months to send my AOR when most of you seemed to say you got it after 1 month only. Still nothing about the OWP. I don't know about PR but it sure seems they're all taking summer vacations :/

I FINALLY got the email confirming that they had received my application on April 27th. Such a relief, even though things could still go wrong. It's a first step.

Sorry what does that mean? I'm so worried we haven't even gotten a aor.... most people who posted here and have applied up to now received theirs after a month or a little more, it's been 2 for me :(

I paid the other fee too, $255 total. I called the call center though, and they said they were currently processing letters received April 8th. :(

They received mine by the end of April... nothing yet. Are you still waiting for an initial reply after a March 15 submission? When I called the woman said 4 months processing instead of 3 :/

I don't remember but it took probably 4 or 5 days. Anyway the mail receipt says they got it that date, it's all that matters really. Good luck to you! Crossing fingers!

Hi guys, I was wondering, did all those who receive their OWP that they requested with their PR send their application through paper or online?

Yeah, but I doubt they would want to give me a fake contract, because it's basically what it is then isn't it?
