i had sent the birth certificate and the passport but it seems if you are doing postal application, original documents are not required, but only self attested-photocopies is sufficient.

BLS will send the originals back via Purolator in a few days.

I had included original documents with the postal application. Got a notification that the original documents are being returned via purolator. Hopefully, BLS will also send the OCI via purolator when ready (and not ask for additional fees )

I am on a three year work permit. I want to work for a total period of five years and then go back to my country. I am not interested in ornament residency. Is it possible to get my closed work permit extended for another two years?

Hi I applied under specialized knowledge. I guess you need to make your case stronger to avoid rejection.

From the vfs tracking site, I see that my status has changed to Passport despatched. Hopefully, I will know the result in a day or two. Similar is the status for my wife who applied for an open work permit along with my application.

From the internet, I understood success rate is 94%, but of late, I see posts here in the forum that the ICT visa was refused. I am still waiting, the Christmas and New Year vacation didn't help. I was told 4 weeks was the processing time. Keeping my fingers crossed.
