I got married when I was on work permit. There is absolutely no problem as far as I know. I would suggest you to keep collecting proof of communication and other photos until you get married. Our application is taking more time only because of the lack of proof. All the best.

Thank you so much Sous02 for the kind reply. Its not written in there why they wanted an interview. I have no idea why the supervising VO made a decision like that. Since I live in canada on visitor visa, its really hard for me to go back to India to attend the interview and come back. :(
