I don't know much about immigration but my freaking out caused numerous convos with our lawyer about this! Everything is so complicated and difficult! I didn't know out of status in general, without being a refugee, was a risk for removal!! Is that policy or do they actually practice that too?

Our ecas showed DM on Friday (April 24) but we hadn't received an email. We called and asked what the decision was and they told us it was positive and next step was to wait for landing letter which we got today. Call the CIC call centre and ask. They are not overly helpful but they can...

I doubt that Sophieee - I think you could be pleased if CIC were actually efficient AND fair... but that just seems like wishful thinking. I feel so bad for all the applications being left behind and so worried ours will be one of those as well. I wish CIC would get their poop together.

I'm so sorry to hear this FTBG - it doesn't seem fair they waited 6 months after AIP to tell you this! Plus, I'm confused. I thought they only sent applications to local offices if there were concerns regarding the validity of the relationship but you already have AIP so this makes no sense to me.
