I am in the same situation. I called IRCC today and agent told me that my spouse card went for printing on Aug 28 and it's held there and she said photo looks good to her but she doest not know the actual reason of delay and i have to wait until Oct 1 then only they can do anything.

I also received a GU today for myself as well as my dependents. CoPR March 26 Photos delivered on April 1 to Montreal office Hopefully we will get our card soon.

Anytime you link your PR card application, it will show that as a submission date but it has nothing to do application documents requirements.

Unfortunately, you cannot use visitor visa once you become PR. If you wish to travel without your PR card then you have to apply for PRTD in your home country's VAC. All your previous visas and permit would consider voided once you become PR.

If your application is already passed the normal processing time, you can contact them immediately.

I preferred emails over the phone as you have all communication documented. But it's an individual choice.
