Yeah, this is what I thought. I'm a Canadian citizen by birth, and I knew that my baby would be Canadian also. But I had to inform the visa office of the birth and people here told me the baby would be added to my husbands application and that he would need a medical. Doesn't make sense to me...

My husbands PR is taking longer than expected; we even had a baby while waiting! He's 6 months old now and I'm wondering whether he will need to get a medical exam done or not.. My husband had to retake his (it expired) and the staff told him that they don't do exams for children under 1 year...

Yeah I've emailed them and sent a CSE but no response yet. They said we have 30'days to resubmit a medical for my husband, but can the baby get his done before they sent us further instructions regarding the new family member? So it looks like we need to do another medical exam for my husbands permanent residence application. However, since we applied we had a baby. Do both my husband and the baby need to take the exam now??

No I won't say it's complicated at all. Only things I can think of is that we got married after dating for a bit longer than 1 year, and he's 10 years older. Not sure those are red flags though...? Lol

Finally worked! But didn't give me much information. Basically everything was "review in progress" and final decision "not started"? Is this normal after 1 year+?
