    Decision Made after Test?

my 2 cents: On June 2nd 2015 our file changed to "decision made". Clicking on it did not reveal any new information - it still said we were invited to take the test. June 15th 2015 - we got an invitation letter for ceremony. CIC phone rep said something like if it was rejected, the status...

Oath date in scarborough - need help

FYI if anyone uses this as reference: Got ceremony date today, June 15 2015. In the meeting with the judge, she was very nice but professional. It turned out we submitted the application with only 1 extra day for me. Reason: when we did the calculation and saw I qualify, we waited a few weeks...

    Online calculator error / bug???

In my printed application, they only deducted 76.5 days, while the online calculation shows 106 days. If I manually calculate the days before PR as half days, it comes to exactly 76.5

    Online calculator error / bug???

Update: I can confirm days out of country while before the PR, do deduct 1/2 day and not full day. The days appear wrong in the total days in the table. I confirm in the calculation of my application they did calculate it correctly to take half days and not full days, so this appears to be a...

    Online calculator error / bug???

Oh, it is 4 years... I thought it was 5 years. :( Anyway, I hope for a positive answer on the half days. The judge also told me she can consider days since 4/14/2007 as an exception. So for me this solves it I hope.

Facing Test and just found out I made stupid mistake in residence calculator

I'm no genius, but I think there is a bug in the online calculator. put these dates in excel: Arrival date: 2004-08-10 Permanent residence date: 2009-02-08 Application date: 2011-02-15 It says you have 1643 days before PR, and 737 after PR. so, 737 + (1643/2) = 1558.5 in my excel. Wayyy more...

    Online calculator error / bug???

Hi Screech, thanks for replying! Do you have that written somewhere? The judge herself told me they should be counted as 1/2 days. Say you are in Canada 15 days before PR, and traveled 10 days out of them. Based on what you say, it will be calculated as: 15 / 2 = 7.5 days, minus 10 days = -3.5...

    Online calculator error / bug???

Hi guys, I think I stumbled upon a very critical bug in the online days calculator for citizenship. Can anyone here confirm? There are 3 dates in it, landed date, PR date and application date. Days before the PR give you 1/2 eligible day, and days after PR give you a full eligible day, correct...

An update, this one is really strange... We got another request for more documentary evidence... This one had the correct file number and our names, but the wrong...

Oh, we already had 3 RQs, We had two before our test. After our test - the officer said she approves our application - but after a couple of months we got a note it was sent to a different officer and he requested more information. Oath date in scarborough - need help

Hey, Got this response from my MP office: "the officer logged information being received on November 19, 2014 and the file was then referred to a judge for decision" Is this good news, or bad news? This is after we passed the test and were asked for more documentation back in July. Anyone...

Oath date in scarborough - need help

The real issue is having to renew our other passport and renew our PR cards. The application to renew the PR card seems almost as long as filing for a new PR and takes months. but, like you said, nothing much we can do. What is the 4 out of 6 rule you mentioned? how will it affect us?

What? You've been waiting for ceremony since January??? OMG, I hope that doesn't mean I have to wait 10 months. Please update here if you have had any updates, I'd love to know how long it took you to get your letter... Did you try to ask for ATIP / asking your MP to contact them? What news...

Travel dates forgotten and not on passport?

AFAIK, they do not provide that report to persons directly. I tried and they told me they only send it to CIC directly on their request. However, the US border do - I applied online to get the US border records and got it super fast online, so perhaps try there as well. One thing to note: they...
