Just reviewed the document. The callout refers only to the Previous Passport Number and not the whole section.

With all the documents they collect and all the information they have, it should really be an over the counter process. Hand over the pre-requisites, verify originals, issue the documents. It should be as simple as that.

I had the same issue. I don't know about a script, but what I did (do) was keep the BLS Tracker open. If you are using Chrome, the BLS tracker keeps the history of data entered on the tracker page. Then simply click in the field for application reference no and select and copy the ref no., tab...
