You said additional documents ( updated police check) What do you mean ?

I bet you spoke to the same operator twice. They won't be giving SPONSORSHIP APPROVAL (SA) to someone who doesn't meet the minimum requirement, they won't even send your file to the VO of your country if you don't first meet the sponsorship requirements. So it's just INCONSISTENCY
