Yes, mine is 12 days after my application date. The 12 months timeline is the time it takes for 80 percent of applications to be processed. The other 20 percent will go over.

Things are going slowly generally and specially for the Edmonton office these days. Haven't heard much in a while. Not sure, if they're are going to rush to make the 1-year timeline in time for Dec. or not.

Not necessarily. What did the officer tell you? Did they tell you they are waiting on any requirement (clearances, CBSA, etc)?

Does oath ceremony letter show up on ecas? or do you get it only thru email?

If you have visa stamps on your passport with a non-latin script or non-latin date stamps, I'd get an official translation of my passport for those pages as well.

I wonder how many people are waiting for DM for more than a week or so after taking the test. Are they all waiting for background checks? My initial impression was that IRCC doesn't do an extensive background check for citizenship applications, but that has proven to be wrong. However not sure...

I respect that! :) However that means "Decision Made" doesn't mean much either. They're effectively waiting for security clearance.

I was thinking of ATIP which is free I think. Is there any preference for one over the other?
