What I'm not understanding is the information CIC is showing on their website. What does "Working on applications received on March 7, 2016" mean. Just 3 weeks ago it was "Working on applications received on Sept 15, 2015" - what changed in just a few weeks all of sudden they are showing some...

it is online. has anybody applied during oct-nov-dec and still waiting?? The cic website is completely giving a different picture.... Calling up the CIC call centre as well did not helped. It is still under processing.

mine was applied on Dec 23 for work permit extension - online application - same employer. No reply yet. Strangely, the CIC website indicates as of today it is 38 days to process online applications for WP extensions - same employer. It says - "Working on applications received on March 7, 2016"...

my passport reached cic on Jan 5th. Still waiting for my passport. did anybody sent their passport on the first week of january and have already received the passport?

@jasmine - when did you submitted? mine reached ottawa office on Oct 23rd. As of today it is 13 business days.

will there by any issue if you apply in both CEC and NSNP? I believe these are independent processes right? Again, since all recommendations finally has to go through CIC - it should not get bottleneck later.. does anybody have any opinion?

Is there any call center number from CIC where I can check the status of my TRV? Im just curious how long it will take? It is exactly 11th business day today since my passport reached Ottawa office on October 23.

i dont think so canadacec123.. it is just Random. mine is expiring Jan 24, 2015. However folks who have new renewed WP are getting their stamps in quick time.

surprising in what order they are processing. mine was sent through Xpress courier on 21st Oct 2014 it reached ottawa office on 23rd Oct 2014. Still have not received the passport. It is exactly 10 business days since it has reached them. Just anxiously waiting.
