    I have LMO and I have called CIC 3 times to ask if LMO = LMIA. Two agent said it is the same just different terminology. One said it is not and you have to have LMIA, unless on your LMO it says that is for permanent job. As far as I know everyone who has LMO has 24 months or 36 months validity...

    Sad reality man. Some workers in Tim Hortons will get LMIA and will get PR, and some highly qualified workers with all the certificate cannot because they are working in too big of a company that does not want to go to the trouble of getting LMIA. Sad reality :(
