My application is in process in eCas. But my spouse's status says they sent a letter asking for more info. Is that RQ ? If it is, how come they sent it to her only? If not, what do you think it could be ?

eCas now shows processing started on Feb. 21 ! Hopefully all will be good !

There should be a link to the Discover Canada booklet in the AOR letter that you received by email. They only send the booklet if you receive the letter by mail.

I don't think you will receive AOR by mail if you got it by email. Usually ecas goes active 2 days after AOR. Are you sure you put your client ID correctly? make sure you include the - in your client ID: XXXX-XXXX I suggest you give CIC a call and ask about the status of your application AND...

Thank you guys! I was afraid that the new law would be put into place before they open my file, and I'll have to wait another 2 years before applying (yes I'm counting a year of non-PR time as a student). At this point, I don't mind if it take a year or so. Good luck to everyone.

finally got the email AOR today. what a relief!!!

just called CIC "again". They said they are still processing late October applicants, so suggested I wait a month or so before contacting them again :S I guess I don't have a choice :P Wish me luck !

You are not the only one. I have been told to wait another week or two before calling them again. And then I may have to apply again. But given some late Oct. applicants have recently received AOR, I think you should wait. My application was received Oct. 24 according to Purolator. I will wait...
