I meant you have been waiting for a year already? do you know why does it take so long on your application? did you call? do you have many travels to some countries on history? It could make the background checks harder in some countries which does not have good relationship with Canada.

I dont think COVID is the reason for applications that took over 1 year. I could be some dificultilties due to checking security or backgrounds from some countries that does not have info sharing with Canada and its covid makes it harder to proceed this scanning. But waiting over a year for PR...
