Got my oath letter for May 26-2015

I guess the issue will be not original passport but returning to Canada without Canadian passport or PR card. @ chikloo Try to re-schedule your flight, I guess even with non-refundable tickets you can still change the date of the trip. There will be a fee of course. But possibly less than...

    2011 and 2012 Applicants

Nope, I was sure I will get one, when I saw this stupid eCAS record "we've sent you a letter on Mar 20th, please provide blah-blah-blah" And I never received anything. We've got oath letter on Tuesday and only today on the eCAS the new record appeared about this letter basically. So no I didn't...

Thanks much! Well, I hope that this file move from St.Clair to Scarborough is a good sign. This maybe an indication that you have been waitlisted for a next step. I called CIC a number of times since the strange record appeared in eCAS, but they gave me no news. Last time I called (it was in...

yeah, I have the same feeling, it is more about luck than fair processing... However, reaching 40-41 months your chances are going up ;D Anyway, good luck and let's hope that you and the rest of applicants will wait less than me.

    2011 and 2012 Applicants

Thanks a lot, folks! I gave up trying to find any logic behind CIC actions. Obviously CIC's definition of "queue" is totally different from what normal people use ;D It definitely looks like they simply pull cases randomly out of that huge heap of non-routine cases...

    2011 and 2012 Applicants

Finally got my oath letter today. Ceremony is scheduled for 19th of May, and it is going to be 42 months since they received my application... Interestingly enough this stupid eCAS system still shows "In process" for my application. I still can't believe it finally happened, lol. Looks like it...

Oath Timeline after test at St. Clair Office

Yeah, it may be the case easily. But I'll send them a letter anyway, better be safe than sorry. I don't want to see my case going to "retired" after waiting that long.

Oath Timeline after test at St. Clair Office

Just got off the phone with the CIC call center. With every call they prove that this way of communication is useless ;D Basically the agent said that they didn't send me any letters. So obviously there are two possibilities, either eCAS is wrong and displays erroneous information about the...

Oath Timeline after test at St. Clair Office

That's precisely what I expect, but I have to try, so I can be fully disappointed in the Canadian, certifiably irresponsible government ;D

Oath Timeline after test at St. Clair Office

Not sure about efficiency of these collective letters, but this is what I am going to do. 1.write a letter to my MP, expressing concerns about unreasonable processing times, duplicated requests, and how taxpayers money are wasted on that (also I want to mention that notorious 44 million dollars...

Oath Timeline after test at St. Clair Office

I really doubt that, it should have leaked to the media by now, most certainly. It is just pure ordinary lack of proper planning and managing skills in the first place, when they decided to go for "fraud crackdown". Put zero motivation and old familiar incompetence on top of that, and here we...

Oath Timeline after test at St. Clair Office

Agree, I am definitely not going to collect this heap of documents again, it costs money after all. I had to pay for the translation of passport stamps and some other documents twice. For this stupid RQ, and for renewing PR 2 years ago. And I have a lot of stamps. They have more than enough...

Oath Timeline after test at St. Clair Office

Are you sure this is somewhat common to receive second RQ? I just had a look at CIT0520 form and it does look quite similar to what my wife have received in 2012. Well I don't remember exactly what was the form, but the list of requested documents is the same as in CIT0520. I don't really see...

Oath Timeline after test at St. Clair Office

In fact I applied for my wife and myself in the same envelope and she has got this stupid RQ somewhere in 2012, pre-test. We've sent all documents right away, then passed the test in 2013 and waiting since then. I ordered 2 ATIPs, basically they didn't even touch the file until 36 months...

Oath Timeline after test at St. Clair Office

Same here, ecas indicates a letter was sent, but call-centre agent didn't see any indication of such letter in the system. Sometimes I wonder, if call center agents even have access to the CIC files. Looks like they just tell stories...

Oath Timeline after test at St. Clair Office

Same here. Saw this line in the morning today. No letter yet. Called CIC, as I had to inform them about my upcoming business travel, but the agent told me that she doesn't see any updates/notes in my case since December. So she had no idea about this letter at all. Also, interestingly enough...

Don't forget to call CIC and notify them about your planned travel dates. They will definitely send you invitation when you're absent otherwise, you know these Murphy's laws :)

Great idea, I'm from Ottawa but depending on the date can probably drive to Toronto to join such event.
