The Very Very Very long wait is finally over!!!

Good to hear from you and I hope that your new application will move much faster. At several points during my long ordeal I contemplated withdrawing my application to re-apply but my wife advised my against doing that as it would have most certainly triggered another RQ, I now know she was...

Don't worry new applications like yours have to be processed within 1 year, so you should get a test invite very soon right after the holidays.

The Very Very Very long wait is finally over!!!

Thanks. It is good to see that CIC is making every effort to finalize citizenship applications in a reasonable amount of time. quote author=ItkExpert link=topic=389173.msg4839455#msg4839455 date=1450114771] Congrats I am happy for you. I am happy to see that CIC found some resources to...

The Very Very Very long wait is finally over!!!

Hello friends, I have some exciting news to share with you all. I became a Canadian citizen yesterday at a ceremony in Mississauga. I am pretty sure most of you know me by now as I have been one of the longest applicants for citizenship on records. The entire process took 50 months, unheard of...

6 months rule - will someone loose Citizenship if outside Canada?

I absolutely do. No one has the right to tell you where you should live including CIC, so yes please are under no obligation to live in Canada once they become citizens and that will never change. Do you know why a lot of people return home after obtaining their citizenships? because they cannot...

    2011 and 2012 Applicants

Hi Guys, I wanted to get some updates from some of you that are still waiting on oath people that applied prior to 2011 or have been waiting for more than 36 months. I case status finally changed to DM 3 weeks ago but I think it could take at least a few more weeks if not months before oath is...

    Ecase change to DM

Since when has "Decision Made" become synonymous for "Citizenship"? DM means a decision has been made on your cade most likely that you are cleared for Oath. Then again, it could take up to 6 months before you are scheduled for oath depending on when applied for citizenship. If you applied...

Deciosn Made for 2010/2011/2012 and 2013 Applicants

Tha ks Vanillakp, I hope so too. I called CIC and they told me it is their intension to clear all the backlogs by Dec 31, 2015. I really hope that is true but I doubt they can make a decision on all the old ones by the end of the year which is a shame.

Seriously you call this a long time? what about people that have been waiting since 2010/2011 and 2012?

    2011 and 2012 Applicants

Hello Janoo, hope the wait won't be too long now.I hope they are not treating our applications differently than the new ones. From what I have been seeing it takes an average 2 weeks to receive the oath letter after a decision has been made for new applications i.e 2014 and 2015. For us the...

Deciosn Made for 2010/2011/2012 and 2013 Applicants

I have now been waiting for more than 53 months, I am so pissed off that I don't even want to think about it. No application for citizenship should take that long without making a decision. I have tried everything but all I can do is wait.

Deciosn Made for 2010/2011/2012 and 2013 Applicants

This is exactly what I am afraid, I hope I am wrong but seems like St Clair applicants that received RQs will have to wait a bit longer than the others.

Deciosn Made for 2010/2011/2012 and 2013 Applicants

Hi Folks, I am just curious is there a double standard when it comes to "Decision Made" status for old applicants versus new ones? The reason I ask is that it has been reported on numerous occasions that it takes much more time for those type of applicants (those that received RQs) to receive...

    2011 and 2012 Applicants

Hello 2010/2011/2012 applicants anything new? It is still the waiting game and it appears there is not much movement for old applications. Please update us whenever possible. Thanks

Entry-Exit Records/Record of Movement from USA

It takes at least 6 months to get your report and possibly 18 months. I ordered mine back in March and I still have not received it....truly ridiculous.

    i-94 Report

The FOIA Report takes a least 6 months. I ordered mine back in March 2015 and I am still waiting.

    2011 and 2012 Applicants

I think it is just the opposite. There is nothing new going on withr 2011-2013 applicants as I believe CIC is deliberately delaying these applications. For me it has been 46 months since I applied and they are still looking for docs.
