Does anyone know what does "approval in principle" mean? Also can someone be granted a visitor visa for Canada (after expiration of his current work permit) even is he already applied for spousal sponsorship PR? Or is it "illegal" since his real intention are to stay in Canada? Thank you!

Thank you for your reply. Sadly we only found out after submitting our application that we could have applied from outside even if we are living in Canada. Do you know by any chance if the "4 year maximum of work in Canada" rule apply in his case? Cause he's close to have being here for 4 years :/

Applying for outside Canada is so much faster than applying from inside.
