2015 JANUARY - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICATION

Same here! 58 days after ECAS said "In Process" we have DM. :D Best of luck with the final stage of the process. :)

Got DM today! :D Took 58 days after ECAS changed to "In Process" until we got "Decision Made." Thanks to everyone who posted in this thread and spreadsheet. :D This forum was a huuuuge help when preparing our application. And now that we're getting ready for landing, I'm going through the...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

Congratulations! Also congratulations to the rest of you finally receiving DM. :D We are among you, as we received DM today! :) What the heck? I'm sorry it's taking such a long amount of time. >:( The call centre agents are only available on weekdays. This is the number: 1-888-242‑2100

Ehhh, I have to also politely disagree with the posters defending Ottawa. How much money did we pay to have our applications processed? At my stage in life, I consider it a significant amount. The CIC is taking in hundreds of millions of dollars a year in fees (got to be something like 70 to...

I actually do NOT have Decision Made. I have In Process, which I am happy about because it means they do have my application. But I could still be in for a long wait. From what I saw on the spreadsheats, it looks like the timeframe between IP and DM is pretty random.

2015 JANUARY - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICATION

Thank you! :) Apparently from the spreadsheets, it's hard to tell what IP means as far as a timeline goes. But I'm relieved to hear that my application hasn't been misplaced. I feel awful for the people who have had that happen. This process can be nerve-wracking.

Signed in today and saw this: I can't believe it! :o Thought it would take waaaay longer to see this. Btw, this is at the Ottawa office. On the spreadsheet I incorrectly put Missasagua, but cannot correct it now.

2015 JANUARY - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICATION

No, they have not asked me for it at this point, and I cannot know if they will. I have my SA already, and the CIC says they have received the medical report. I'm not sure if this is a good sign or meaningless? Since it takes so long, as you pointed out, we have decided to start the process...

CIC no longer accepting FBI PCC from channelers?

I did send it along with the application in January, yes. Hopefully the CIC will be cool with it, because I'm sure there are many others in the same boat. But yeah, worth the money to get the FBI one done to be on the safe side.

2015 JANUARY - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICATION

Bad news from another thread: I thought I'd post it here in case some of you don't see the other thread. We used a third party because it seemed as though the CIC recommend it to save time when we were filling out our application. They've changed their tune. :( Time to get the fingerprints...

CIC no longer accepting FBI PCC from channelers?

Wuuuuut. This is outrageous. I sent in a channeller certificate. When I photocopied it for our records, it had a VOID watermark show up and all that fancy jazz. Was so excited today too, as I just got our SA. Anyhow, I guess it can't be helped. Better have another set of fingerprints done...

    Fee's

If your wife's 23-year-old daughter is not coming with her at this time, then she does not need a background or medical check right now. Just list her in the section where it asks for names of family members. That's all you need to do. If she eventually does want to come to Canada, she will need...
