Finally, we had our oath ceremony today! ;D It took 6 months and 5 days from the test to the oath. I wish good luck everyone who is waiting to become and became Canadian citizens :D

I completely agree with you. Same here... Passed test 5 months ago and applied for the citizenship in May 2013!!!! It's definetly not first come first serve! Otherwise we would get ours long time ago.

Yes. I don't think that the country of origin plays any role though. There is something else we don't know about...something that makes big difference in waiting time but I doubt we will ever know for sure what that is.

During the interview everything was clear, no concerns at all for both of us. That's why it's so weird that our oath waiting takes so long.

It's been almost 5 months for us waiting for the oath after the test. We still don't have any news and calling cic don't bring any results :( Is there anybody else left same as us waiting for the oath since July? We lost our hope to get the invitation before Christmas! :(

We haven't received anything yet as well:( test was on July 11th. We called cic today and they said that no updates and our test results haven't been added to the system yet:(((( the agent said it was weird because it's been almost 4 months after the test... He said he'll send an email... I hope...

We checked our mailbox and ecas --- nothing :(

Yes, steeles, you are right! Maybe it's better not to call them:( I hope it won't be 1, 2 or 3 years!!! It might be 6 months as they promised after the test though...

We called CIC today, it's been almost 3 months after the test. They said NO UPDATES for us :(
