The CIC website said I order to be qualified for inland sponsorship, the person being sponsored must have legal status. But the CIC website also said they do not need to have legal status to be sponsored inland. It is confusing. Could anyone tell me which one is correct?

In my Gcms notes, under the association section, the organization & entities part contain my employer information , just the company name though. But I saw other people' notes, the value for that section are all zero. Does that mean they are verifying my employer' s information?
